Natour Privacy Policy
Natour helps the residents of a building run it together: a shared roster, dues and expenses, notices, maintenance requests, and an elected committee president. This policy explains what we hold, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. Alchematek publishes Natour; write to support@natourapp.com with any question about it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and how you sign in (email and password, Google, or Apple). We never ask for a phone number and Natour does not send SMS.
- Your building: its name and street address, the apartment labels someone entered, and its location on the map, taken from the phone of whoever registered it or from a pin they placed. That location helps spot a building that is already on Natour; it is never treated as proof that you live there.
- Your place in the building: your apartment, and whether you are an owner or a tenant.
- Money the committee records: dues, payments and expenses in US dollars and Lebanese pounds, including who collected and who recorded each one. Natour records cash handled in person. It does not take payments and holds no card or bank details.
- Maintenance reports: what you report, any photos you take with it, and its status and notes as it is handled.
- Building photos and emergency contacts: a cover photo and a gallery of the building, and a list of people to call — such as the doorman, a plumber or civil defence — with their names and phone numbers. Whoever manages the building adds these.
- Invitations: when you invite a neighbour by email, we keep their email address so the invitation reaches them when they sign up; an unused invitation is deleted after 90 days. An invitation link sent by WhatsApp or SMS goes from your own phone, and we never see the number.
- What you post and how you vote: notices, questions put to the building, and your choice on a building decision, which other members of your building can see.
- Your vote for president: kept secret. Ballots are stored so that no one — including us — can link a ballot back to an apartment or a person.
- Your phone: a notification token for this device, so your building can reach you, and your language choice. When you look for your building, your phone uses its location to list the buildings near you; that location stays on your phone and is not sent to us.
- A record of actions: anything touching money or authority is logged with the account that did it, so a building can see how a decision or a payment came about.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. Natour has no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools, and does not follow you across other apps or websites.
Where it is kept
Natour runs on Google Firebase. The database, the servers and the files are hosted in Google's europe-west3 region in Frankfurt, Germany.
Who else sees it
- Members of your building see the roster, apartments, dues status, notices, building decision votes, maintenance reports about common areas, the building's photos and its emergency contacts.
- Whoever manages your building also sees the maintenance reports you make about your own apartment. No other resident does.
- Anyone signed in to Natour can find a building by its name, address, location on the map and cover photo while looking for their own. Nothing else about the building — its residents, dues, gallery or contacts — is part of that.
- Google (Firebase) hosts the service and delivers notifications. Apple delivers notifications on iPhones.
- Google or Apple confirm who you are when you use their sign-in.
- Maps are drawn by Apple on iPhones and Google on Android when you place a building.
- Natour staff can see a building's records — its residents, notices, votes and maintenance reports — to answer a question about it and to remove content that breaks our terms. They can also send a message to residents' inbox. Everything staff change is recorded in the action log.
Deleting your account
Open Profile and settings, then Delete account. You will be asked to sign in again to confirm it is you. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
What is deleted: your profile, your name and email, your sign-in, your membership of every building, the maintenance reports you made about your own apartment and their photos, the invitations you sent or received, and this phone's notifications. Your apartment is released so its owner can claim it.
What your building keeps: its own records — payments, expenses, notices, building decision votes, past election results, maintenance reports about common areas, the building's photos and emergency contacts, and the action log. They are the building's financial and governance history, so they stay. Once your account is gone, they no longer show your name or email; only an internal identifier remains, which is meaningless to anyone outside the system.
If you are a building's president, deleting ends your term and the owners elect a new president. If you are standing in an election that is still open, you can delete your account once it closes.
How long we keep things
Your account data is kept while your account exists. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for up to 14 weeks before it is overwritten.
Your rights
You can see and correct your own details in the app, and delete your account there at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete or correct it, by writing to support@natourapp.com. We will reply to every request.
Children
Natour is for adults running a building and is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and we will say so in the app when the change is significant.
